Doral Crime Watch

This message came to me from a Doral Woods resident who lives on the first block of Montclair Ln — Editor

I made the mistake of forgetting to make sure my truck was locked last night. This morning I woke to the driver’s side door being left partially open with the center console and glove box left open after having been rummaged through. At this point, it doesn’t appear that anything of value was taken but wanted to make everyone aware that it happened in our neighborhood.

Community Watch Program

The Pinehurst Community Watch Program Is Seeking Citizen Participation.

The Village of Pinehurst Community Watch Program is a volunteer initiative that creates a deterrent to criminal activity through observation, communication, education, and team work with the assistance of the community. As a result, the Community Watch Program is a force multiplier to the Pinehurst Police Department by providing additional eyes and ears for detecting suspicious and criminal activity.

The Village is recruiting residents to get involved in this initiative to help make Pinehurst the safest community in the state of North Carolina. If you are interested, email Doug Tuxbury at
